Facilitation.

Creating work together…

The rehearsal room is my favourite place… I love creating work with other people and facilitating people to create their own…

I have worked in secure units, colleges, schools and in the community for various organisations (Birmingham City Council, Tameside Writers, Ifa Yoruba Contemporary Arts’, Creative Industries Trafford, Part of the Main Theatre, The Lowry Theatre, Odd Arts, Manchester City Council, Hope Mill Theatre) and charities (Anawim, Manchester Rape Crisis, MASH project) running workshops with a wide variety of themes and aims including Arts Awards.

Fun and creativity is always at the heart of what I do, so I use a wide variety of games, exercises and devices for a wide range of abilities from beginners to professionals. Stories can be created using devising techniques to creative writing techniques so all abilities can be included.

These workshops were a fantastic way they (Female Sexual Assault survivors) can express themselves... without anyone telling them how they should think and feel.
— Shabana Baig, Manchester Rape Crisis
One of the reasons I enjoy these sessions is that you learn so much and have that like minded group who are as passionate as you. Aisling comes with a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm. It’s a nice way to spend an early weekday night and the feedback you get on your work is sooo helpful when moving forward with a writing project
— John Collins, Writers' Support Group participant
I enjoyed working with the cast and writer. It allowed me to feel comfortable speaking openly and frankly with them. I felt very listened to. The room felt very safe which was ideal and allowed the delicate content to flow.
— Emily Spowage, Actor

So, if you are looking for a one-off creative writing workshop, getting started on an arts project, need support in developing a script/creative project or need a facilitator for an on-going project, I’d love to hear from you. Rates negotiable.
